I grew up in the small town of Smyrna, Tennessee, in the southeastern United States. I attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and graduated in 1995 with a degree in business, concentrating in finance.
After college, I moved to Nashville and earned my Tennessee real estate license. I spent a few years working for a home builder before life took me in a different direction. In January 2001, I opened a cheerleading business with a friend in Fayetteville, Georgia. Running that business taught me lessons no classroom ever could, especially how cash flow really works day to day for a small business owner.
I went on to help other entrepreneurs get their businesses off the ground before selling my cheerleading business in 2007 and returning to my roots in real estate. I earned my Georgia real estate license in 2009 and spent over a decade in residential real estate. In July 2022, I moved my license to Southtree Commercial Real Estate, where I now help entrepreneurs purchase commercial property, whether for their own use or as an income investment.
I live in Peachtree City, Georgia, a community small enough that you can get anywhere by golf cart. My neighbor and close friend is Earl Davis, founder of Trading Nations Global. Over the past eight years, Earl has taught me more about the stock market and investing than I ever imagined I would learn.
That friendship changed the direction of my mission. Now, through the Founder CEO Program, I want to help other business owners understand that investing isn't just something you do for yourself. It's something you can do for your business too, building real financial strength into the company you've worked so hard to grow.
